This is the design detail of the Donation Certificate, feature 03 of Dreaming Elf. I lead the design of this feature in collaboration with graphic designers, motion designers, data scientists, and engineers.
1. Brief
2. Context
The problems of the existing version of donation certificate include:
Users don’t feel like sharing the donation certificate because it’s a static picture, too dull in design, and doesn’t fit well with the video size
Users don’t build a sense of belonging or accomplishment from the current certificate
Lack of important information about the users’ donation data
3. Ideation
4. Competitive Audit
4. What Data to Include
5. Wireframes
6. Graphic Design
I did this part in collaboration with graphic designer and animation designer, who played the leading role.
Design Cutoff
In order to promote more interactions between friends and encourage users to keep donating, I designed a certificate collection wall for friends to visit. While considering that
Many users mentioned in user research that the game is too complicated
The button of certificate in a friend’s house is hard to find
Technically, structuring the certificate data for each player is a challenge
I discussed this with the Product Head and decided to not include this feature in the launch.
7. Delivery
When finishing a donation, the user can see detailed information including
the number of schools they donated to
the number of books they donated
the number of kids who read the books they donated
the number of cities they donated to
people who joined Dreaming Elf recommended by the user
